How many Hunter's Journal entries are in Hollow Knight: Silksong?

There are 237 total entries that can be acquired for the Hunter's Journal in Hollow Knight: Silksong. Seven entries are optional for achievements, and one entry is exclusive to Steel Soul Mode. The in-game journal max entries number changes between 231-237 entries, but all 237 can be tracked in our checklist.

Is Hunter's Journal required for 100% completion in Hollow Knight: Silksong?

Completing Hunter's Journal does not count towards the 100% in-game progression displayed when Hornet uses the Farsight. You will get the 100% Completion related achievements - "Completion", "Speed Completion" and "Steel Heart Completion" even without completing Hunter's Journal. However, to reach Act 3, you need to defeat at least 100 different enemies, which fulfills Nuu's Wish: Bugs of Pharloom quest.

Do you need to complete Hunter's Journal for 100% Silksong?

No, you do not need to complete the full Hunter's Journal for 100% completion in Silksong. Completing Hunter's Journal does not count towards the 100% in-game progression.
