The Witcher 3: All Quests Checklist & Database

Kaer Morhen is a tutorial quest, where you learn the basic controls of The Witcher 3 with Ciri.

Finishing this quest leads to the present - Geralt and Vesemir are arriving to White Orchard.

Geralt and Vesemir and searching for Yennefer in White Orchard. Slay the Griffin and reunite with Yennefer.

Before you leave White Orchard, it is a good time to complete everything the area has to offer.

Part of Lilac and Gooseberries Quest. Slay the Griffin.

Before finishing this quest, make sure to finish everything in White Orchard. Some of the secondary quests will fail after exiting.

After slaying the Griffin and talking with Nilfaardian Quartermaster, Geralt returns to White Orchard Inn. After a fight, they reunite with Yennefer.

Geralt is escorted to Vizima where Emperor Emhyr van Emreis tasks him with finding Ciri. This is the end of The Witcher 3 Prologue.

Make sure to speak to Ambassador Van Attre. You can beat the Gwent Player later.

Overarching quest for Main Quests in Velen.

Geralt arrives in Velen and looks for Nilfgaardian spy Hendrik, first in Inn at the Crossroads, later in Heatherton.

In Hendrik's Hut, Geralt discovers two leads on Ciri - the Bloody Baron or a mysterious witch. You can pursue either of them first.

Geralt arrives at Crow's Perch and meets Bloody Baron for the first time.

Bloody Baron describes how he met Ciri in a vivid section when meeting Geralt.

As Ciri, help Gretka and defeat the Werewolf.

After this section, it is a good time to complete a Ciri's Room side quest.

Bloody Baron refuses to reveal more information about Ciri before his family is found.

Visit the Pellar and find his goat Princess. Pellar then reveals more about Baron and Anna. Geralt now must deal with a botchling.

Progressing more in Family Matters will make Baron reveal more Ciri's Stories. Later in the game, Geralt can visit Tamara in Oxenfurt and report back to the Baron, activating the Return to Crookback Bog side quest.

Pellar lives near Blackbough and is an Alchemist.

As a lead on Ciri, Geralt investigates a mysterious witch near Midcopse village, who turns out to be a sorceress Keira Metz.

Geralt and Keira Metz investigate underground complex of elven ruins. They run into the Wild Hunt.

After finishing Wandering in the Dark is the only opportunity to complete the Magic Lamp sidequest.

We recommend continuing to Fyke Isle Questline straightaway after this Quest, if your level is high enough.

Geralt learns about The Crones and sets off for Crookback Bog. The Crones task him with helping the aldorman in Downwarren.

Decide the fate of a mysterious spirit and return to the bog to learn about another Ciri's Story.

This also progresses Family Matters and Bloody Baron.

Ciri is fleeing from Crookback Bog.

Overarching quest for Main Quests in Novigrad.

After the events at Crookback Bog, Geralt moves to Novigrad and rendezvous with Triss.

Triss introduces Geralt to Novigrad's underground factions, and recommends visiting an oneiromancer.

Before crossing the Border Post, you can choose multiple ways to obtain the Travel Pass, including a few unique sidequests.

Geralt helps oneiromancer Corinne Tilly, who has her dreams possessed by a godling.

Corinne reveals that Dandelion, who knows more about Ciri's actions in Novigrad, inherited The Rosemary and Thyme.

Geralt heads to The Rosemary and Thyme and meets Zoltan. Geralt then visits 5 different Dandelion's mistresses, searching for clues.

This ultimately leads to Rosa van Attre and Priscilla. Geralt learns that Dandelion had clashes with Sigi Reuven and Whoreson Junior.

Now is the best time to do Fencing Lessons side quest.

Geralt heads to Novigrad Baths to source information from Sigi Reuven - Djikstra. They are attacked by Whoreson's Henchmen.

Geralt sets off and ultimately catches Whoreson Junior and ends him. This unlocks another Ciri's Story.

After the bathhouse attack, Cleaver offers help. Visit him to start The Gangs of Novigrad missable side quest.

Part of Get Junior. Whoreson Junior describes his encounter with Ciri in a vivid section when Geralt finally catches him.

Ciri and Dandelion try to save Dudu from Whoreson Junior.

After dealing with Junior, Geralt is forced to visit King Radovid on his ship near Oxenfurt.

Radovid demands the capture of sorceress Philippa Eilhart, which Geralt doesn't want to do and can be resolved in many ways.

New side quest Redania's Most Wanted becomes available, necessary for Radovid Quests.

Djikstra has a problem - somebody broke into his basement. Geralt investigates the sewers and learns Dandelion was captured by Caleb Menge.

Geralt rendezvous with Triss and decide to trick the Witch Hunters into believing that Geralt is bringing Triss for execution.

Geralt needs Dudu to impersonate Caleb Menge for Dandelion to get released, but first he needs to find him.

Priscilla with Geralt organize a theater show.

Geralt and Zoltan ambush a moving carriage where Dandelion is imprisoned.

Dandelion then reveals another part of Ciri's Story. This is the last Main Quest so far in Novigrad - Geralt now continues onto Skellige.

Ciri and Dandelion are fleeing Whoreson's henchmen on Temple Isle.

Overarching quest for Main Quests in Skellige.

Geralt meets Yennefer and Crach an Craite in Kaer Trolde, then steal an artifact from Ermion's laboratory.

Crach gives Geralt the Possession and The Lord of Undvik quests, related to Hjalmar and Cerys, leading to Coronation of new Skellige Jarl.

Geralt and Yennefer use the Mask of Ouroboros they stole from Ermion's laboratory. A large explosion follows.

The duo then sees reconstructions of Ciri's past, which leads them to Hindarsfjall.

Geralt and Yennefer travel to Lofoten on Hindarsjall island and investigate Wild Hunt tracks.

They meet with Skjall who leads them to Freya's Garden.

Freya's Garden is where the In Wolf's Clothing side quest happens. It you haven't picked it up already, it will activate after entering the garden.

Along with progressing the In Wolf's Clothing side quest, Geralt and Yennefer progress through the garden with Morkvarg.

Yennefer uses necromancy on Skjall to extract more information, switching to Ciri.

Skjall, under Yennefer's necromancy spell, reveals Ciri's past in a vidid memory.

Ciri awakes in a sauna and meets Skjall. White Hunt then attacks.

This is the last of Main Quests in Skellige - we recommend finishing other Skellige content after this, especially The Last Wish Quest.

Geralt returns to Crow's Perch and takes Uma. They both depart to Kaer Morhen.

This is an umbrella quest covering most of Kaer Morhen Main Quests. After Geralt arrives, he needs to help his companions.

Geralt, Yennefer and Vesemir clear Uma's curse, who turns into Avallach. He warns of incoming danger and reveals that Ciri is hidden on The Isle of Mists.

While drinking, they use Yennefers megascope to try and connect to other sorceresses.

In the morning, Geralt and others start lifting Uma's curse. After they succeed, Uma transforms into Avallach, who warns them of incoming danger.

Avallach provides Geralt with a Magic firefly which leads him to The Isle of Mists.

Embarking on The Isle of Mists ends multiple side quests and secondary quests. We recommend completing everything possible now.

Geralt sets of for Isle of Mists to rescue Ciri and encounters several Dwarves.

Ciri and Geralt teleport to Kaer Morhen, when Wild Hunt starts catching up with them.

Before embarking on The Isle of Mists, Geralt can call for help in Brothers in Arms side quests.

After Ciri and Geralt arrive from The Isle of Mists, they prepare for battle with allies.

Geralt is part of a hunting group, tasked with closing Wild Hunt portals. They succeed, but Vesemir dies.

The victorious party attends Vesemir's funeral. A few days progress at Kaer Morhen. Geralt then cheers up Ciri with a snowball fight.

Ciri then surprises Geralt with information about a sabbath on Bald Mountain, suggesting an attack on Imlerith.

Geralt and Ciri arrive at Bald Mountain. They decide to Split - firstly Ciri will fight The Crones and later, Geralt will defeat Imlerith.

They later regroup with allies at The Rosemary and Thyme.

Geralt and Yennefer gather information on Wild Hunt and help the Lodge of Sorceresses.

This is an umbrella quest available after Bald Mountain.

Geralt falls into Triss's and Yennefer's trap.

If you've romanced both Yennefer and Triss, this quest becomes available during Final Preparations.

Part of Final Preparations Quest. Geralt learns that Phillipa Eilhart in is Djikstra's bathhouse.

Together with Triss they overwhelm her and confront Djikstra.

They instead find Dudu has assumed Junior's identity. They spend the rest of the night with Ciri's friends from the circus troupe.

Geralt finishes up in Novigrad and heads back to Skellige. As final preparation, a new set of Main Quests start in Kaer Trolde Harbor.

This is an umbrella quest available after Final Preparations.

Part of Battle Preparations Quest. In search of a Sunstone, Geralt finds Ermion fighting Madman Lugos in Kaer Muire.

Related to The Sunstone Main Quest.

Part of Battle Preparations Quest. Geralt needs to free sorceress Fringilla Vigo, so he boards Emhyr's ship near Undvik.

Part of Battle Preparations Quest. Geralt sources information on Wild Hunt and explores a cave in The Pali Gap Coast.

This quest becomes available during The Sunstone quest.

At the end of Child of the Elder Blood, choose to visit Skjall's grave with Ciri.

Missable - only available after Child of the Elder Blood.

Geralt reaches Nilfgardian camp and the battle with Wild Hunt will begin.

Geralt and Ciri defeat Caranthir and Eredin. Yennefer pulls Geralt through a portal to save him at the last minute.

Geralt follows Yennefer in a hunt after Avallach. They run through cataclysmic scenes and catch up to Avallach.

Ciri enters the gate and the ending gets decided, based on a number of positive and negative decisions towards Ciri.

Closing quest that serves as an epilogue to The Witcher 3. Form of this quest is dependent on the ending.

Ciri can reach the Witcher ending, the Empress ending and the Tragic ending.
