This checklist covers all main story quests organized by region, from the tutorial in Kaer Morhen through White Orchard, Velen, Novigrad, Skellige, and back to Kaer Morhen. Each quest includes level requirements, region location, nearby signposts, and detailed descriptions of objectives and story progression.
Missable Quests and Cut-off Points
Some main quests are actually missable because of Geralt's decisions. The main quest line can change based on your choices, and certain quests have multiple endings or branching paths. Some quests may be skipped entirely depending on decisions made earlier in the story.
Many side quests are tied to main quests. Main quests Get Junior, Ugly Baby, and The Isle of Mists are cut-off points for several other quests. After completing these main quests, certain side quests and other content will become unavailable, so it is important to complete related quests before progressing past these points.

All Main Quests in DLC
Several new main quests were also added in the DLC. Use the Hearts of Stone DLC Checklist and Blood and Wine DLC Checklist for all DLC quests.
Prologue Quests
There are 5 main quests in the Prologue, covering Kaer Morhen and White Orchard. This section serves as the tutorial and introduction to the game's story.

There are 13 main quests in Velen. The story follows Geralt's search for Ciri through the Bloody Baron questline, Keira Metz, and the Ladies of the Wood.

Geralt sets off and ultimately catches Whoreson Junior and ends him. This unlocks another Ciri's Story. After the bathhouse attack, Cleaver offers help. Visit him to start The Gangs of Novigrad missable side quest. |

There are 10 main quests in the Kaer Morhen act. This section covers Geralt's preparations for battle, The Isle of Mists, and the Battle of Kaer Morhen.
