Only one run is needed, there are no missable items in Subnautica 2.
Around 12 hours for players familiar with either Subnautica or Subnautica: Below Zero games. Around 20 hours for players learning the mechanics.
2/10 in the current Early Access. There are no achievements and few items. The map can be crossed with a Tadpole in 5 minutes.
Most recipes need a lot of resources to craft, which will take some time to obtain and/or farm. Trying to scan certain aggressive fauna (especially Shiver Leviathans and Shiver Males) will take you a couple of attempts due to their aggressivity and fast movement.
Note that we may adjust the difficulty rating after upcoming patches.
You can free-roam and do what you want any time. The best time to craft everything is near the end-game, after you've reached the Metal Farms and have access to Troilite and a few other materials.
We strongly recommend setting up a base in the Alien Ruins, preferably near the local Angel Comb. There are no threats directly near the sea floor and you can find hot areas to draw power from.

Does this support future patches?
We will add items or do any needed maintenance when new patches arrive or when Subnautica 2 releases to full version.

How does tracking my progress and my profile work?
When you log in, your checked items are stored in your account. Your Profile page shows progress per game, links to each game's Ultimate Progress Tracker, and account settings. You can use checklists on any device while signed in and see the same progress.
How do I create an account?
Use the Login option in the site header, or follow prompts from any checklist. Creating an account is email-based and takes a minute.

Yes, but that is handled from your account and profile flows rather than this tracker page. Read the help on your Profile and settings for how to manage saved progress.
What kind of data does the progress tracking functionality collect?
This page only summarizes what you marked on our checklists. Those pages send identifiers for checked items along with timestamps. Results stay tied to your user ID inside our cloud workspace.
