All Achievements Checklist Overview

This is the interactive checklist for All Achievements in Hollow Knight. Track your completion progress using this auto-save checklist.
This Achievements checklist is divided into sections for convenience.
All Achievements / Trophies - Key Information
Many achievements are missable. If done correctly, you need only two and a half runs, with the first run getting all 5 Ending achievements.
Please read through the achievement list carefully and take note of any missables and exclusives, which we've highlighted and explained.
All Achievements - Run Strategy
To get all achievements in the most optimal way:
- Run 1: Main Run: This will be your main save for the hardest challenges. Feel free to explore the game and get every piece of equipment that will help you. Do all endings (learn more at Endings table), save Zote on every occasion, do not slay Nailsmith after fully upgrading your Nail and do not banish The Grimm Troupe. Do every single achievement on this save, including the Hunter's Journal ones, except for Neglect, Banishment, Purity (run 2) and Speedrun and Steel Soul related achievement (run 3).
- Run 2: All the bad choices: Do not help Zote at Greenpath (Neglect). Slay the Nailsmith with your Pure Nail (Purity). Banish the Grimm Troupe (Banishment). After this is done, you can abandon this save.
- Run 3: Speedrun Steel Soul: This run serves to get the final run technique achievements: Speedrun 1, Speedrun 2, Speed Completion, Steel Heart, Steel Soul. Please take note that this is difficult, but it still makes sense to do it together. The Speedrun achievements don't really add any difficulty, once you know the game. The whole difficulty comes from Steel Soul Mode.
Start in Steel Soul Mode. First rush to complete the game in under 5 hours taking the shortest route possible (achievements: Speedrun 1, Speedrun 2). Make sure to take one detour after defeating the Shrumal Ogres in Fungal Wastes - stop at Leg Eater and buy Breakable charms. As you cannot die, the downside of the charms doesn't matter.
After finishing the game on any ending in 5 hours, you have 15 additional hours to get 100% (use 112% checklist). Prioritize the All Mask Shards checklist and All Vessel Fragments checklist first, as well as great charms such as Quick Slash + Longnail. After finishing, you will get the Speed Completion, Steel Heart and Steel Soul achievements.

Endings
Hollow Knight features 5 achievement-related endings! No worries though, you don't need to do 5 different runs by following our advice. Complete the endings top to bottom.
It is important to know that after ending a game, you will respawn back at the bench and can immediately pursue other endings. It is however important to not lock yourself out of different endings by getting sensitive items, such is the Void Heart.
If done correctly, ALL 5 ENDINGS CAN BE ACHIEVED ON 1 SAVE. Do them as described in the table below, one by one.

Defeat the Radiance and consume the light Requirements: Acquire Kingsoul and visit the Abyss so it becomes the Voidheart (the evolved Kingsoul quest item, not the Void Heart charm). ALSO get Awakened Dream Nail for 2400 Essence at Seer. Defeat the Hollow Knight. At the end of the fight, you will get the chance to Dream Nail him. Do this and defeat The Radiance. |

Aid the Herald in moving on Requirements: This is not its own ending, but a bonus cutscene that can combine with any other ending. At any time, go find Mister Mushroom on all of his locations, then end the game however you like. |

Remember the past and unite the Abyss Requirements: This ending doesn't require any previous achievement. Instead, you must beat Absolute Radiance at the end of Pantheon of Hallownest. This is easily the hardest ending to get. |

Activate the lantern at Howling Cliffs to invite The Grimm Troupe to Dirtmouth. Progress the questline until defeating Troupe Master Grimm (first fight). Once he marks 4 targets on your map, visit the one in Distant Village. Talk to Brumm and he will instruct you to banish the troupe back at the lantern. This halts the questline further. |
