Grubs - Key Information
Grubs are small cute creatures trapped and hidden in glass jars all across Hallownest. You must find them and break the jar - after which they will move to the Grubfather's room in Forgotten Crossroads.
The Grubfather will reward you for every saved Grub, the rewards are various - Geo, Mask Shard, collectibles and even two unique Charms.
Collecting all 46 Grubs is necessary for 112% Completion, as the final reward is a required Charm called Grubberfly's Elegy.
Grubs - Achievements
Two achievements are related to saving Grubs. Finding exactly half, which is 23 Grubs, rewards the Grubfriend achievement. Finding all of them rewards the Metamorphosis achievement.
Grubfather ate the grubs?
Yes, after you find all 46 Grubs and reload the room, you will see that Grubfather is now laying on the ground with his belly full.
As the achievement name suggests, he is not a killer, in fact this is just a sample of a bug circle of life in Hallownest.
There is no way to prevent or revert this. Grubfather will stay in his room and you can try to jump on this belly with no effect.
