All Gestures Checklist - Bloodborne

Bloodborne: All Gestures Checklist

All Gestures Checklist Overview

The checklist is located below this introductory text.

This checklist contains every Gesture obtainable in Bloodborne. Gestures are cosmetic emotes used for communication in multiplayer and roleplaying. They have no effect on combat, character progression, or, except one special case, gameplay mechanics.

How to collect all Gestures in Bloodborne

The first batch of Gestures is unlocked at the beginning of the game and are available from the start.

Almost every other Gesture is tied to NPC questlines and are commonly rewarded for interacting with a select NPC on every step. With planning and not failing any quest, it is possible to get all Gestures in a single playthrough.

Missable Gestures

The vast majority Gestures depend on NPC questlines and can be missed if those questlines are failed or abandoned, making Gestures the most easy to miss collectibles in Bloodborne. If you're aiming for a complete collection, thoroughly explore every area and use our All Questlines Checklists throughout your playthrough.

About Gestures in Bloodborne

Gestures allow players to express themselves in both online and offline play. They are commonly used to greet other Hunters, celebrate victories, or communicate without voice or text chat during co-op and PvP sessions. Except for one case, they don't provide gameplay benefits, but are an iconic part of the Soulsborne multiplayer experience.

Unlike later FromSoftware games, Bloodborne features a relatively small collection of Gestures. However, several are tied to memorable NPC interactions and are easy to miss without thoroughly exploring the game.

One specific Gesture is tied to a gameplay mechanic and it is the "Make Contact" gesture. See more information on the "Moon (Tier 3)" Caryll Rune item, which requires gesturing in front of the Mother Brain in Mergo's Loft abyss.
