Spoils of War Quest Guide | Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Side questSpoils of War is a missable side quest in KuttenbergKuttenberg that opens after Speak of the Devil (Main questSpeak of the Devil). It expires if you wait too long. We recommend finishing during The Devil's Pack (Main questThe Devil's Pack).

How to start Spoils of War

Devil's Den prep

If you stage from Devil's Den, visit Innkeeper Treadlight: sell junk and bank about 500 Groschen, because first entry to Sigismund's Camp typically costs 500 Groschen at either gate.

Ask what's new. He can mark Interesting siteAbandoned Shepherd's Dugout for a worthwhile detour (deserter with solid armor).

The guards block both camp entrances until you pay.

Inside, locate Captain Puta (full chainmail, patrolling). Agree you are here for requisitioning. Late evenings may force a next-morning meet. Otherwise you depart straight for LocationBohunowitz.

Extorting the villagers in Bohunowitz

This beat is deliberately ugly: you strip supplies from four homes into the cart chest. You can use offered piles, hidden stashes, or even donate from your own inventory to hit quota.

Best peaceful ending

For the calmest outcome with no villager deaths, take the baseline goods they leave out, then pay Puta between about 1,500 and 2,000 Groschen from your purse. Offering more than 2,000 can make him suspicious and force a Speech check. If the cart still falls short by day's end, Puta may snap and order you to murder civilians.

Farmer Smil's house

Eastern home: talk to Smil, loot the supply pile by the door, transfer everything to the cart.

Hidden food in the barn

Behind the house, enter the barn. A food sack hides behind hay in the rear corner.

Hidden beer cellar

Yard cellar is locked. Key sits in the privy, or pick the hard lock. Inside is stacked beer. Tell Puta at the cart to have soldiers haul it. Major quota progress. Optional follow-up with Smil rarely adds new info.

Farmer Fowl's house

Large northwest home: bags by the garden gate. Extra secrets below. Fowl also keeps a medium locked chest upstairs with Skill bookWoodsman's Journal III plus spare onions elsewhere in the house.

Hidden attic via barn

Enter the barn, reach the second floor, cross the walkway into the house peak for more food bags.

Pigeon loft ledge

Small pigeon house at the property mouth. Circle around to spot a sack on the ledge. Shoot it down with bow or crossbow, then loot Hidden valuables.

Hidden cows

In the barn you can infer missing cattle. Follow the stream south into the woods until you hear mooing, then track them off-path.

Confront Fowl with the herd and chain three Speech checks to learn other villagers' secrets (beer, cows, plague graves).

Willow's house and Vitek

Southwest cottage: main supplies sit just inside the door.

Optional: Vitek lies wounded on a bed.

How to Heal Vitek

  1. Examine him.
  2. Craftsmanship or Thievery to peel bandages.
  3. Warfare or Scholarship to diagnose infection.
  4. Alcohol or PotionPainkiller Brew for pain.
  5. Alcohol to clean the wound.
  6. Bandage with another Craftsmanship check.

Awake, he reveals Puta's earlier squad wounded him. Confront Willow with Speech or Intimidation for the full rumor dump (beer, cattle, plague pits). You may extort him instead.

Bynyek's house and the plague graves

Western home: talk to Sovka outside. Supplies sit under the window indoors.

If Vitek or Willow already talked, ask about dead soldiers. Sovka may admit villagers killed the last detachment and buried them behind the village.

Bynyek's valuables wait in the plague graves. Dig the left pit for his stash. The other two hold only bones.

Ending the quest

When the cart satisfies you, speak with Captain Puta.

If you reveal dead soldiers or hidden graves

Puta orders an immediate assault. Choose to aid the soldiers slaughtering peasants or defend the village against the army.

How to get the most rewards

Lethal option: Slay Puta and his men in the resulting fight. Villagers are shaken but not massacred, the journal closes fast, and you keep the haul to sell (roughly 360 Groschen sell value for quest-tagged Bohunowitz gear, well above the straightforward payout). Peddlers in LocationPschitoky buy it easily.

Peaceful completion

If quota clears or you bribed Puta into satisfaction, you ride back to Sigismund's Camp for about 250 Groschen (upper range).
