One of the many new secrets within the new Verso's Drafts area is the Gingerbread Door, located in an eerie lake-side forest beside Reverie Path and Gestral Baths Expedition Flags.

As you approach the large Gingerbread Door, an eerie music plays and the door talks. It needs a Birthday Cake to open and for that, you need 3 Piece of Cake items. Getting all 3 Pieces of Cake requires completing small sidequests or detours within Verso's Drafts DLC area.

On a side note, opposite the Gingerbread Door, you can find a pair of Licorne enemies - defeating them rewards a Damage Share Pictos and two Grandiose Chroma Catalysts.

Piece of Cake #1 - Esquie Statues Puzzle

There are in total 6 Esquie Statues in the Gestral Baths area. They are malfunctioning and emit light - your job is to switch the color on only 3 of them. Finding them should be very easy, they are large, and some are in pairs - simply interact with them.

If done correctly, a pressure wave effect happens across your screen.

A nearby Half-baked Lifeguard NPC will then later reward you with the first Piece of Cake, along with a Double Bun Haircut for Monoco. You can also pick up a new Slowing Attack Pictos near the statues close to a waterfall.

Piece of Cake #2 - Find a Toy Boat

Near the Reverie Path Expedition Flag, find a waterfall with a large cave inside. Pick up the Toy Boat quest item.

Bring it upstream to three little Gestrals at the beginning of the area, near the Open Playground Flag. They reward you with the second Piece of Cake.

Piece of Cake #3 - Gestral Carousel

Past the Candy Land Expedition Flag, you can discover a Gestral Carousel. (Follow this guide to find the path).

You can actually ride this carousel - but you'd need to wait in a long queue. Thankfully, you can talk to a nearby Very Very Cool Gestral with interesting Verso backstory detail, who will help you skip the line.

Ride the carousel with each of your 5 characters. Everyone who rides the carousel will get their Esquie Outfit, plus every character gets a unique, often funny cutscene on the carousel.

After riding with Lune, Maelle, Monoco, Sciel and Verso, the Very Very Cool Gestral NPC will reward you with the third, last Piece of Cake you need to open the Gingerbread Door.

Deliver the Birthday Cake to the Gingerbread Door. You may continue inside to reach the Licornapieds Station Expedition Flag.

Nearby is a Licornapieds Boss, rewarding Frenzy Pictos, some Colours of Lumina and Chroma Catalysts.
