All Axes & Greataxes Checklist Overview

This checklist contains every Axe and Greataxe in Elden Ring, including Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. There are 31 total weapons across both weapon classes.

Axes strike a balance between speed and raw strength, while Greataxes trade attack speed for large single hits and high stagger damage.

How to Get All Axes & Greataxes

Axes and Greataxes are spread throughout the Lands Between and the Realm of Shadow. They can be obtained as world loot, purchased from merchants, dropped by enemies, rewarded through NPC questlines, or earned from defeating optional bosses.

Several unique Greataxes are also available through Remembrance exchanges.

Most weapons are obtainable during a single playthrough, although a small number require specific quest outcomes or optional content. This checklist helps ensure every Axe and Greataxe is collected.

About Axes & Greataxes

Axes deliver solid damage with relatively quick attacks, making them versatile options for Strength-focused builds.

Greataxes are considerably slower but compensate with strong poise damage, allowing players to stagger enemies and bosses more consistently.

While these weapon classes primarily scale with Strength, several unique Axes and Greataxes also support Dexterity, Faith, Intelligence, or Arcane builds through their special scaling and weapon skills.

		Forked-Tongue Hatchet (DLC) Region: Ancient Ruins Site of Grace: Scorpion River Catacombs DLC Weapon	Approximately 2% drop chance from Imps wielding this weapon. Best farming spot: In Scorpion River Catacombs, go left in the Bigmouth Imp room, then immediatelly left again (ignore the second Imp) and in the room a third, good Imp will drop down from the roof. 		Battle Axe Region: Roundtable Hold Site of Grace: Table of Lost Grace Weapon	Sold by Twin Maiden Husks for 800 Runes.
		Messmer Soldier's Axe (DLC) Region: Gravesite Plain Site of Grace: Castle Front DLC Weapon	Approximately 2% drop chance from Messmer Soldiers wielding this weapon. Best farming spot: Most of the soldiers in the camp near Castle Front site of grace. Location of Messmer Soldier's Axe:
		Warped Axe Region: Altus Plateau Site of Grace: Abandoned Coffin Weapon	Approximately 4% drop chance from Omens wielding this weapon. Best farming spot: Omens near the Abandoned Coffin site of grace, two good Omens here. Location of Warped Axe:
		Jawbone Axe Region: Liurnia of the Lakes Site of Grace: Mausoleum Compound Weapon	Approximately 2% drop chance from Ancestral Followers wielding this weapon. Best farming spot: From Mausoleum Compound site of grace, approach the Minor Erdtree and kill the group of enemies there. Location of Jawbone Axe:
		Iron Cleaver Region: Weeping Peninsula Site of Grace: Castle Morne Lift Weapon	Approximately 2% drop chance from Misbegotten enemies wielding this weapon. Best farming spot: Castle Morne Lift, up the lift and defeat the large group of enemies near the fires. Location of Iron Cleaver:
		Highland Axe Region: Stormveil Castle Site of Grace: Liftside Chamber Weapon	In the lesser Grafted Scion dining hall, under the largest painting. Location of Highland Axe:
		Smithscript Axe (DLC) Region: Ancient Ruins Site of Grace: Taylew's Ruined Forge DLC Weapon	In Taylew's Ruined Forge, go across the first bridge, drop down, jump the gap, go left and loot the corpse. Location of Smithscript Axe:
		Celebrant's Cleaver Region: Altus Plateau Site of Grace: Windmill Heights Weapon	Approximately 0.5% drop chance from Celebrants wielding this weapon. Best farming spot: South of Windmill Heights, you'll see four Celebrants. Three of them wield the cleaver. Location of Celebrant's Cleaver:
		Sacrificial Axe Region: Weeping Peninsula Site of Grace: Castle Morne Rampart Weapon	Defeat the Deathbird (Weeping Peninsula) boss. Location of Sacrificial Axe:
		Icerind Hatchet Region: Liurnia of the Lakes Site of Grace: Temple Quarter Weapon	In a chest in Temple Quarter. Location of Icerind Hatchet:
		Ripple Blade Region: Liurnia of the Lakes Site of Grace: Ranni's Rise Weapon	Sold by Pidia for 3500 Runes (or if Pidia's dead, bring the bell-bearing to Twin Maiden Husks). How to reach Pidia: From Ranni's Rise, go directly east to the cliff's edge near a Cerulean Scarab. Spot a roof you can drop down to, then a series of platforms and ladders will lead to Pidia, located directly above Manor Lower Level site of grace. Location of Ripple Blade:
		Stormhawk Axe Region: Leyndell Site of Grace: Fortified Manor, First Floor Weapon	Missable - collect before burning the Erdtree! From Fortified Manor, First Floor, go to the bottom floor and through a northwestern doorway into the lesser Abductor Virgin courtyard. There, find a corpse with the weapon. Nonmissable variant - in Castle Sol, from Castle Sol Main Gate site of grace, head inside and left. Turn right and into the first open door, up the ladder and onto the western rampart. Follow the rampart onto the central building, past the two ballista enemies. There, jump onto the northeastern shack roof and look below you - you'll spot the weapon on a wooden roof. Location of Stormhawk Axe:

All Greataxes

The sixteenth group of Weapons, in the order as seen in Elden Ring's game inventory. Greataxes are slower and offer higher damage than regular Axes.

There are 14 Weapons in All Greataxes.

Best farming spot: From Lake-Facing Cliffs, go to the graveyard behind Church of Irith. Spawn a skeleton with this weapon and kill it. Location of Executioner's Greataxe:
		Great Omenkill Cleaver Region: Altus Plateau Site of Grace: Perfumer's Grotto Weapon	Defeat the Omenkiller & Miranda, the Blighted Bloom boss. Location of Great Omenkill Cleaver:

		Butchering Knife Region: Volcano Manor Site of Grace: Bridge of Iniquity Weapon	Past the lesser Abductor Virgins on the bottom level, defeat the invading Anastasia, Tarnished-Eater. This weapon drops infused as Sacred Butchering Knife. Location of Butchering Knife:
