The Reliquary is a task in the
Kuttenberg region of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. You loot the Sedletz cemetery crypt, forge a
Sword of Sir Valentine replica, then expose a traveling fraud for some of the strongest vendor trash in the zone: high-Charisma jewelry, tier-2 laminar legs, possible Kastenbrust class pieces, and more worth roughly 4,000 Groschen combined.
How to start The Reliquary
Unlocks after Speak of the Devil (
Speak of the Devil). Travel northwest of Sedletz Monastery to a lone tent where the Humble Knight camps.
Exploring the crypt
He praises Sir Valentine, crusader lore, and asks you to pull Valentine's blade from the tomb. Head southeast to Sedletz cemetery; bring a torch (you can pickpocket one off the knight while he eats).
Enter the chapel, find the central trapdoor.
If you have not started
Thou art but dust…, the hatch stays non-interactable. Talk to Brother Morticius outside first to begin that task, which enables the door. See our Sedletz cemetery guide for the full flow.
Drop into the crypt, move to the eastern chamber, use the large sarcophagus, open its inventory (empty), then interact a third time to Examine the lid. Henry studies the carved knight, sketches the sword, and unlocks the Sword of Sir Valentine recipe (blacksmithing checklist).
Exit route: leave through the other door from the sarcophagus room, cross the next hall until you hit wooden scaffolding, then follow it straight to a hidden surface exit.
Forging the replica
Use any forge (Kuttenberg smithies are closest). If you are banned from Kuttenberg,
Miskowitz can cover buys and smithing in one trip.
Ingredients:
- 1× Copper
- 1× Straight sword guard
- 1× Cow skin
- 1× Coin sword pommel
- 1× Frankfurt steel
- 1× Scrap metal
Conclusion and rewards
Deliver the sword. The Humble Knight confesses he peddles fake relics and tries to murder you now that you know the blade is a forgery.
- Very Hard Might check can avoid the brawl; success may yield St. Apollonia's tooth (junk prize).
- Failing the check or choosing violence leads to a straight fight.
Even after a clean Might pass, many players still cut him down: his corpse and chest carry the real payoff.
Recover your Sword of Sir Valentine plus body loot such as (values vary slightly with perks and freshness):
- Tier 3 broadsword (on the order of 658 Groschen)
- Tier 2 broken Kastenbrust (~768 Groschen)
- Tier 2 laminar knight legs (~1272 Groschen)
- Jewelry near 300 Groschen combined, including Scapular With Aperture with +21 Charisma
- Golden crucifix (~1430 Groschen)
Body gear stays stolen temporarily.
Camp chest extras:
- Golden Cross Ring with +50 Charisma (~660 Groschen)
- Blacksmithing sketch: Knight's Axe (~450 Groschen)
- About 253 Groschen coin
Liquidate on Kuttenberg main square at the Trader and Armorer. That completes The Reliquary.
