Lent Achievement Guide (Quest Solutions) | Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

The Lent achievement in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is one of the most challenging trophies to earn. It requires you to complete the entire game without killing a single animal or consuming meat. In this guide, we will show you how to navigate tricky quests like Side questForbidden Fruit or Side questMiri Fajta without breaking your vow, and how to deal with hostile wolves using only your fists.

Lent Achievement Requirements & Rules

Lent requires you to finish the entire playthrough without killing or consuming any animals. This includes wolves, dogs, sheep, and any other animals in the world.

It is one of the hardest achievements in the game because several quests are normally resolved by killing animals. But, with the correct approach, every single animal conflict in the game can be avoided and you can get 100% Completion on a Lent save as well. The sections below explain the key moments in various quests where you must be careful to preserve your Lent progress.

How to check your progress

You can check how much meat you've eaten and how many animals you have killed in your Player Statistics in Inventory, in the very first and second tabs. This achievement requires a full playthrough of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - planning and frequent checks are essential. We recommend checking your statistics every hour. Both numbers need to be at 0 when you reach the credits.

How to Fight Wolves Without Breaking Lent

Most quests that would threaten the Lent achievement involve wolves. Wolves are hostile - they will attack you and will not go away until defeated.

Important

You can - and need - to still fight wolves, but never use weapons. Use only fists and kicks.

A wolf attacks roughly every five seconds. The safest strategy is to parry and immediately counterattack. After a successful parry, press attack almost instantly so Henry performs a kick. This deals strong damage and keeps the wolf staggered.

You can press attack again during the animation to sometimes trigger a second kick. This does not always land, but it can speed up the fight. It is especially useful in tight areas or against a rocky wall - for example during the wolf attack in the Side questMiri Fajta side quest, there is plenty of walls to kick them against. Then wait for the next wolf attack and repeat the parry-counter sequence.

Strategy

This method works even against multiple wolves since they usually attack one at a time. Circle and back off, try to keep them all in your sight and safely bait the attacks. If they attack from the back or the side, you will instantly take damage and no block or parry prompt will show. Most wolves in Trosky require at least 5 kicks so be patient if you encounter a full wolf pack.

After every encounter

After every wolf encounter, make sure to check your statistics to ensure no bug or mistake has damaged your progress.

Can Mutt kill animals without losing the Lent achievement?

Yes, Mutt can hunt and kill animals for you and you can even butcher them without losing the Lent achievement.

Mutt (Quickest Route)

The Side questMutt side quest usually means fighting many wolf packs when trying to gather the clues for Mutt's location. Doing this while on a Lent run is not only dangerous, but also incredibly tedious, as your kicks and fists do not deal great damage.

The best idea would be to follow our Mutt Quickest Method Guide, which avoids all wolf pack fights during this quest and ensures the shortest possible route without running all around the map.

Note that Mutt can hunt and kill animals for you and you will still keep all Lent progress. Having Mutt is however a double-edged sword. You will need to keep meat in your inventory to feed him, making it easier to accidentally eat it yourself. In that case, revert to the last save.

Now you can also sic Mutt at the enemies, which will be very helpful during the fight with six wolves.

Forbidden Fruit - Wolf at the Ruined Building

During Side questForbidden Fruit you must visit the Interesting siteRuined Building (Troskowitz) interesting site. This encounter is required if you want to attend the wedding through Kreyzl during the Main questWedding Crashers main quest.

A wolf appears here. Simply defeat it using bare fists only.

The wolf runs away at about half health and returns after roughly 30 seconds. If its health gets low enough it will retreat and stop attacking, which resolves the encounter without killing it.

Forbidden Fruit - Dog Choice

Later in the same questline, Ignatius asks you to kill a local dog by feeding it poisoned meat.

Safe dialogue choices

After finding the escaped dog, talk to Bonnie and choose:
"I asked you first"
"I don't want to kill him"

She will take the dog to the Den, resolving the situation without killing it. Your reputation drops and Ignatius dislikes the decision, but the quest continues normally and your Lent progress remains safe.

Lackey - Three Wolves

During Side questLackey, you encounter three wolves near the tree where Vostatek is hiding.

They have a lot of health but are easy to handle. Circle around to aggro one wolf at a time, then use the parry and kick counter strategy.

Each wolf goes down after about six or seven hits. Because you only use fists and kicks, they will not die and your Lent progress is preserved.

Troubadours - Sheep Guts

During Side questTroubadours, Vostatek asks you to bring sheep liver and suggests killing a sheep.

Do not kill the sheep

Instead, buy sheep guts from the butcher in LocationTroskowitz.

Miri Fajta - Wolves at Apollonia

Another wolf encounter happens during Side questMiri Fajta.

When visiting Marika in Apollonia for the second time, three wolves wait outside the hideout.

You do not need to defeat them. After a few hits they run away, so just use fists and survive the encounter without killing them.

Troubleshooting

This section will help you with the most common issues with the Lent achievement.

I accidentally ate meat

There is nothing you can do, except reload the save to the last save point before you ate it. If you reload the save, you will keep the achievement progress and can continue normally.

Statistics show I killed animals, but I didn't

This is unfortunately fairly common and it happened to us right at the beginning at Bozhena's Hut when picking herbs for Hans Capon's potion. Sometimes animals can clip, Henry can ride over them, or different reasons can cause an animal death to appear on your count. You might not even see the animal nearby, so make sure to check the statistics frequently.

Recommended

Save regularly and check your Player Statistics every hour. If you notice an unexpected animal kill, reload immediately rather than continuing and losing hours of progress.
