There are 20+ Paint Cages.

This is the only checklist online that covers every single Paint Cage! We have cross-referenced every single item in-game to discover every single Paint Cage location. Various guides or interactive maps only have 16 or even less Paint Cages and are therefore missing some rewards, like Revive Tint Shards. This guide shows where to find all Paint Cages.

To open each Paint Cage, stand near them and look around the area for small paint anomalies to shoot. Break three anomalies to receive the reward, usually a Tint upgrade, Pictos, a weapon, or Chroma.

Breaking your first Paint Cage is necessary for the "Paint Cage" achievement. Some Paint Cages reward important items like Revive Tint Shards, weapons, or Grandiose Chroma Catalysts that are essential for 100% completion.
