The White Roebuck is one of the first activities you can undertake in the
Kuttenberg region. It is a straightforward task available as soon as you finish the main quest Speak of the Devil (
Speak of the Devil) and have the freedom to explore the
Suchdol area.
Starting the Task
To begin, travel to Suchdol fortress and speak with the huntsman, Dobrosh Pecker. He will task you with tracking down a group of poachers who have killed an extremely rare white roebuck belonging to Lord Pisek.
Investigating the Poachers
Huntsman Dobrosh suggests starting your investigation by speaking with Knacker Wolfram, a man known for dealing with poachers in the past. You can find him roaming around Suchdol or working in the cemetery.
To get Wolfram to talk, you must pass a dialogue check:
- Speech or Charisma: Medium difficulty checks (recommended)
- Intimidation: A hard difficulty check.
- Bribe: Pay him 200 Groschen for the information, available even if you try the skill checks first and fail.
Wolfram will narrow down the search radius to a more precise location northwest of Suchdol and offer to buy the pelt from you directly, competing with the huntsman's request.
Poacher Camp
The camp is situated northwest of Suchdol, easily identified as it sits right next to a local stream.
Be careful, as sometimes two bandits spawn on the road crossing the stream in the marked area.
Upon arrival, the three poachers present will be immediately hostile. Two of them are quite easy, but Red Mach can be challenging. After defeating them, ensure you perform the following:
- Loot the bodies: Each enemy carries a Poacher's Squirrel Tail, which is required for a bonus reward from the huntsman.
- Get the key: Loot the chest key from the bandit named Red Mach.
- Retrieve the pelt: Enter the dilapidated structure in the center of the camp and open the storage chest to find the White Buck Hide and a map of local hunting spots.
Spot More White Roebucks
Dobrosh is mistaken. There are more white roebucks roaming the area, although they are very rare. Look for a younger white roebuck on the outcropping above the camp, across the river.
It spawns inconsistently. Run around or try to skip time for a while. Observing it up close will sharpen Henry's survival skills. Another can be spotted near the Overgrown Quarry interesting site, but as explained, it is inconsistent and we didn't discover a key to it. Other than running around for 30 minutes and hoping for the best.
Killing it gives you another roebuck hide, but this one is worth only 400 Groschen (compared to 500) and it isn't possible to use it to satisfy both Wolfram's and Huntsman Dobrosh's requests.
The White Roebuck Decision & Rewards
Once you have the hide, you must decide who to return it to. Your choice determines your total reward:
Huntsman Dobrosh Pecker (Recommended): He pays a base of 225 Groschen for the hide. However, if you turn in the three Squirrel Tails, your total reward increases to 450 Groschen.
You can also earn extra reputation by reporting the Knacker's offer or the location of the live white roebuck.
Knacker Wolfram: He will buy the pelt for 225 Groschen. Choosing this option immediately ends the quest, meaning you cannot turn in the Squirrel Tails to the huntsman for the higher reward.
For completionists and those seeking the maximum profit, returning the goods to the Huntsman is the recommended path.
This finishes The White Roebuck task in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

After Speak of the Devil. Talk to Dobrosh Pecker at Suchdol fortress.
Who pays the most?
Dobrosh: 225 Groschen for the hide plus 225 more for three Squirrel Tails (450 total). Wolfram only pays 225 and ends the quest.
How do I get Wolfram to talk?
Medium Speech or Charisma, hard Intimidation, or a 200 Groschen bribe.
Where is the poacher camp?
