Demons of Trosky Quest Guide | Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Demons of Trosky is a time-limited task in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. You can start it during or immediately after Back in the Saddle while you still have access to Trosky Castle.

Talk to Chamberlain Ulrich

Find Chamberlain Ulrich inside the castle. He often appears in the kitchens, halls, Lord Otto von Bergow's room, or the western dining area.

Ask whether there is work to do. He claims the castle is infested with “demons”.

Ulrich offers Holy Water or Magic Water to exorcise the spirits. Your choice does not affect the outcome or rewards.

Investigating the demons

Ulrich sends you to three people: cooks Manyeta and Bertha, and blacksmith Osina.

While the task is active, Ulrich grants temporary freedom to move through most of the castle. The dungeon stays off limits.

Osina's pranks

Talk to Osina first near the smithy and your bed in the inner courtyard. He sends you on false leads to “demons” that are really castle latrines:

• The Guardhouse: bottom floor of the guardhouse west of the combat arena.
• Maiden Tower: second floor from the top inside the Maiden Tower.
• Crone Tower: hall under the Scribe's room in the western wing.

After the third visit, return to Osina. You can drop the matter or challenge him to a fistfight. Fighting him does not cost reputation with Chamberlain Ulrich.

Banish the devils from the Crone side (Manyeta)

Speak to Manyeta in the eastern Maiden kitchen. She tells you to sprinkle water on five fireplaces on the opposite southwest Crone side of the castle.

Efficient Crone tower route

1. Fireplace 1: First floor, Bertha's Kitchen above the bathhouse. Use Sprinkle next to the food pot on the stove.
2. Fireplace 2: Go up one floor and open the door to the dining room. The fireplace is on the left wall.
3. Fireplace 3: Continue three floors up to the Scribe's room (door on the left above the stone room). The fireplace is on the right as you enter.
4. Fireplace 4: Continue into the wooden section as high as you can to a larger room with a fireplace, above the alchemy station.
5. Fireplace 5: Top of the tower in the bedroom.

You may see Katherine searching chests. She is not interactive here. Higher floors are often empty, so you can loot valuable trinkets. The chest in the last room can hold a Basilard sword.

Banish the devils from the Maiden side (Bertha)

Speak to Bertha in the western Crone kitchen. She says the “demons” (like rats) are in the Maiden wing. Sprinkle five more fireplaces there. She suggests night for drama, but you can finish during the day.

Efficient Maiden tower route

1. Fireplace 1: Maiden kitchen on the bottom floor, where you spoke to Manyeta, to the right of the stove.
2. Fireplace 2: Go two floors up from the kitchen to the floor with the wooden balustrade. Find the fireplace in a small corner room.
3. Fireplace 3: On the same floor, in the dining room next to the second fireplace.
4. Fireplace 4: Take the next flight of stairs from the room in front of the landing (a guard often stands here).
5. Fireplace 5: On the same floor, go through the two doors on the opposite side of the fourth fireplace room. The last fireplace is on the left wall.

This wing is more guarded than the Crone tower. We do not recommend heavy looting here.

Rewards and completion

After all ten fireplaces are sprinkled and you have resolved Osina's pranks, report to Chamberlain Ulrich. He is pleased, jokes about Osina's tricks, and says Osina does it to everyone.
