All's Fair is a side quest located in
Wysoka, a village in the far southwest of the
Kuttenberg region. It involves a plot by a local farmer to ruin the reputation of his romantic rival through a series of frame-ups.
Finishing this quest is a necessary prerequisite for the
Seeking Justice task.
Starting the Quest
Locate Hired Hand Pavel in Wysoka.
Pavel claims he is in love with a girl named Ursula. He believes Ursula loves him back and wants to frame her fiancé, the son of a wealthy farmer, for theft. He was also beaten by Pivetz's father. Pivetz is another man courting Ursula.
Pavel asks you to steal five personal items from the villagers to plant on his rival's property.
Finding the Stolen Items
Pavel provides the Vejmola House Key to assist you with one of the five objectives. We recommend doing them in this order.
While some items are best taken at night, others can be retrieved during the day. This guide is focusing on a stealth approach during daylight, which we find easy and most convenient, with the last item done at night.
1. Vejmola's Medallion
Location: In the nest, in the eastern part of the village.
How to get: You can talk to the NPCs in the village (like the Vejmolas) and they will be able to pinpoint the nest with the stolen medal for you.
The location on the map is here:
Look for a large tree in the center of the garden (near Bohushka's yard). There is a magpie's nest high in the branches. Shoot it down with an arrow, a crossbow, or throw rocks at it while crouching. Inspect the fallen nest to find the medallion.
Note that this tree has two nests. The correct one is on the eastern side of the tree. The nest also holds Spectacles with a value of 280 Groschen.
2. Bohushka's Ring
Location: Inside Bohushka's house (next to the tree with the medallion nest).
How to get: Enter her kitchen. She believes she lost her ring in the dough while baking.
Steal and eat a kolach or any baked good from her shelves. Henry will accidentally bite into the ring, adding it to your inventory. You need to steal only one item from her.
At night, she talks out of her sleep and the dialogue would hint towards the kolaches.
3. Ursula Ma's Rosary
Location: Ursula's house in the center of the village.
How to get: Easily doable during the day. You first need to get inside the house. If there is a lady sitting in front of it, sneak and throw rocks to lure her away.
During the day, the Rosary is in the pockets of Ursula's mother. Enter the house, go immediately right and you will find her cooking by the stove.
Simply pickpocket her and go away. This whole operation can be done in 10 seconds, before the girl from the doors comes back.
4. Father Anthony's Book
Location: The beige house in the northwest of the village.
How to get: This is the only house with a usable backdoor, so make your way behind the house. There is a dog patrolling. Make sure he is not present or sees you sneaking around.
Then enter through the easy-locked door, then through another locked door on the right. The Wysoka Priest's Alchemy Book is sitting on a desk near Father Anthony's bed. There is also the Master's Studies III skill book in the same room.
Note that Wysoka Priest's Alchemy Book is a skill book. Read it before you give it to Pavel.
5. Vejmola's New Shoes (Night)
Location: The southwestern house of Wysoka, where the Cobbler Young Vejmola works. The boots are in a room through the door on the right, in a dark corner by the bed.
How to get: During the day, the area is too busy. Young Vejmola is working inside and Old Vejmola is sitting in front of the main door. A housewife is also cooking in a room with the boots.
We believe it is impossible to solve during the day. The house has no other entrance. The only option is to lure the Vejmolas out of the house and then quickly grab the boots. But we weren't able to achieve this, even using Mutt's bark. You can also try to lure them away by throwing rocks through a tight window from the back of the house, but there are simply too many people for this.
Instead, use the key Pavel gave you to enter during the night. The boots are located in the corner of the bedroom, tucked behind the door near the bed. They can be very difficult to see in the dark.
Pavel's True Colours
Once you have all five items, skip time or read until morning, then visit Pavel.
If you pass the Very hard Speech check or have previously spoken to the farmer's son Pivetz, you can pressure Pavel about his true intentions, as something doesn't seem right.
Pavel will admit he never intended to frame Pivetz. He actually wants to sell the items to fund a journey to Kuttenberg to find a better life, as he knows he has no real chance with Ursula.
All's Fair All Endings
You now have three options.
Give him the items: He will be thankful and immediately skip time for 2 hours, giving you Vitality XP. He will proceed to sell the stolen items later and move to Kuttenberg.
This unlocks the task Seeking Justice a few days later. We strongly recommend doing this for the additional step in Pavel's story!
Give him 1,000 Groschen: You can choose to fund his trip yourself instead of handing over the stolen goods.
Refuse/Keep the items: You can sell them yourself or return them to the villagers.
Returning the Items: If you kept the items, you can take the items to Father Anthony. You will receive a reputation boost and Scholarship experience for returning the "lost" goods. While this is a morally nice option, we never recommend doing this.
This finishes the All's Fair side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. You should now wait a few days before the Seeking Justice task becomes available in Kuttenberg.
All's Fair FAQ
Where is All's Fair?
Wysoka, southwest Kuttenberg. Talk to Pavel there to start.
What is the best ending?
Give Pavel the five items after the confession. That unlocks Seeking Justice later.
What order for the five thefts?
Medallion, ring, rosary, Anthony's book (read the alchemy skill book first), then shoes at night with the house key.
How do I get the shoes?
At night with Pavel's Vejmola House Key. Boots hide behind the bedroom door on the right.
Should I return items to Father Anthony?
Only if you kept them instead of helping Pavel. It gives reputation and Scholarship XP, but blocks the recommended Seeking Justice follow-up.
