A Good Scrub is a light side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 where Henry helps Betty revive the bankrupt Kingfisher Bathhouse. This page covers the Grund “package,” the town-crier loop, the timed morning cleanup (good ending vs failed inspection), and rewards.
To begin, visit the Kingfisher in the Hoprink district on the southeast side of Kuttenberg. Betty wanders near the building and needs help collecting a “package” from
Grund.
Phase 1: The “package” from Grund
Travel to Grund and find the wagoner Matsek outside the village tavern.
Persuade Matsek
He is nervous about hauling the cargo. Clear an Easy Persuasion or Impression check to secure the ride.
Betty's “package” is three new workers. They wait in the marked search zone, gathered by a table. Speak with them, then board the wagon. Matsek relocates the cart after the first exchange, so use his updated wagon for the return leg.
Expect cheeky banter on the fast-travel ride back to Kuttenberg.
Phase 2: Spreading the word
Betty wants Henry to act as a town crier for the reopening party. The exact marketing lines you pick with her are flavor only; results stay the same.
Shout to the crowds
Visit four spots in daylight, before about 8:00 PM:
- Grain Market
- Horse Market
- Merchant's Market
- A plaza near the fountain or church
After Henry starts shouting at each location you can sprint to the next to save time.
At the church-adjacent stop, a critic may confront you about “sinful” bathhouses. Fight him, or resolve it with Persuasion or Intimidation, then report back to Betty.
Phase 3: The morning-after cleanup
After the party cutscene, a bath maid wakes you in a panic: the Alderman is touring the Kingfisher without notice. Clear every objective before his inspection timer expires.
Hide the drunks (0/4)
Hoist the four unconscious guests and stash them in the first room on the right of the second floor.
Pick up tankards (0/6)
Six mugs sit between the front room and the tub hall.
Pick up clothes (0/5)
Gather shirts, hoses, towels, and hats from the floors.
Scrub the vomit
Interact with the sick pile beside the second tub on the left to polish the floor.
Important: stay inside while the Alderman walks the building. Leaving can fail the inspection.
If you skip even one task, the closing cutscene still plays, but the Alderman refuses certification and you earn the bad ending (failed questline outcome).
Rewards
When every objective clears in time, the Alderman approves the business. Betty pays 100 Groschen, grants a permanent discount on Kingfisher services, and you gain positive Kuttenberg reputation.

A Good Scrub FAQ
Do shout scripts matter?
No. Pick whichever flavor text you like when planning lines with Betty.
Is the fistfight mandatory?
No. Persuasion or Intimidation clears the preacher argument if you prefer not to brawl.
Can I leave mid-inspection?
Avoid it. Stepping outside while the Alderman is inside risks failing the whole check.
