The Magic Arrow is a side quest in the
Kuttenberg region that follows the Arrow-Head (
Arrow-head) story thread. Innkeeper Treadlight at
Devil's Den can point you toward it. Begin by speaking with Pasha and Hare in the tavern. Pasha wants a “magic” arrow still lodged in the skull of his old leader, Karel Arrowhead, who died after that task and lies buried near Sedletz Monastery.
Finding Karel's grave
The burial site sits northeast of Kuttenberg, beside Sedletz. For the precise lead, visit gravedigger Lenek at his house just north of the monastery. Pass an easy skill check and he admits Karel was buried as a sorcerer outside consecrated ground.
Grave location
Look behind a large willow on the north end of the cemetery, just outside the outer wall. Dig the grave and pull the arrow from the remains. You can also go straight there and skip Lenek if you already know the layout.
Confronting Hare
Return to
Devil's Den with the arrow. Pasha is gone, but Hare waits instead.
Follow Hare toward their camp. Midway he demands the arrow for himself instead of Pasha.
- Hand it over: the quest ends at once with no reward.
- Refuse: you must pass a hard Speech, Intimidation, or Presence check to stare him down. Speech is usually the most forgiving if your stats line up.
Failing those checks forces combat. Kill Hare or force a surrender to move on.
If Hare backs down, he stops marching toward camp, so quit following him. A new map marker appears: the real camp sits in the forest a bit northeast. Mount up and ride there.
Pasha's request and endings
Deliver the arrow to Pasha. You may snitch on Hare or stay quiet; it does not change what comes next.
Pasha recounts the arrow's history, then asks one last favor: shoot him in the head with the bolt, the same way Karel died.
- Refuse to shoot: pass a hard Speech check to walk away. Pasha lives and pays 30 Groschen.
- Agree to shoot: Pasha hands you a crossbow. A clean headshot kills him instantly and the remaining bandits flee. There is no scripted quest payout, but you may loot Pasha's body and search the camp. A locked chest holds about 178 Groschen plus valuable brocade.

Something rotten… in
Grund, though you may need to wait a few in-game days before it appears.
The Magic Arrow FAQ
Is Arrow-Head mandatory?
No. The checklist notes it can spawn without the task, but doing Arrow-Head first keeps the fiction coherent.
Can I resolve Hare without a fight?
Yes if you pass one of the three hard social checks after refusing the handover.
Do I need Sedletz crypt access?
This grave is outside the chapel wall near the willow. You are not required to enter the monastery catacombs for the arrow.
Moral ending vs money?
Speech mercy keeps Pasha alive for 30 Groschen. The violent finale clears the camp for brocade, coin, and body loot.
